Accessibility Statement for HITL Score
Last updated: 2026-09-21
Charles Lew is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continuously improving the user experience of hitlscore.com to apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard cited in U.S. Department of Justice ADA Title II guidance and broadly accepted as the benchmark for private-sector websites.
Conformance levels:
- WCAG 2.1 Level A: ✅ Conformant, verified by automated and manual testing
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA: ✅ Conformant, verified by automated and manual testing
- WCAG 2.2 Level AA: 🟡 Substantially conformant. The criteria added in 2.2 (focus appearance, target size, dragging alternatives, consistent help, redundant entry, and accessible authentication) are being reviewed, and any gaps will be fixed. We will update this statement when that review is complete.
- Level AAA: 🟡 Partially conformant where reasonable
Accessibility Features Implemented
The Site is built with accessibility in mind:
- Semantic HTML: proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, ARIA labels where appropriate
- Color contrast: text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements are reachable via keyboard, with visible focus indicators
- Alternative text: meaningful
altattributes on all images; decorative images marked appropriately - Form labels: all form fields have associated labels and clear error messages
- Reduced motion: animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionbrowser preference - Screen reader compatibility: tested with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and NVDA (Windows)
- Resizable text: content remains readable when zoomed up to 200%
- No keyboard traps: focus can always be moved with Tab/Shift+Tab
Known Limitations
While we work hard to ensure accessibility, some content may not yet meet WCAG 2.2 AA conformance:
We are continuously auditing the Site for accessibility issues. As of the last review, no significant Level AA conformance gaps have been identified, but we welcome reports from users encountering barriers.
We are actively addressing these issues.
Compatibility
The Site is designed to be compatible with:
- Recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop
- Safari and Chrome on iOS / iPadOS
- Chrome and Firefox on Android
- Screen readers including VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack
